A New Name

Hey there Crafters,

Its been a while since I posted on here, it has only been because I have been working on creating something better for A Nerdy Crocheter.

ANC has become so much more than just crochet, it was time to move forward to something bigger.

I present to you ‘Handmade Over Coffee’. visit handmadeovercoffee.com .

I cant believe how far ANC has come in the past 5 years, Yes it has been more than 5 years since I started my first etsy store (wipes a tear drop ;)).

I hope to add more color with a more minimal look for the website. So many more exciting bags and fabrics to experiment with. Cant stop learning.

Can’t wait for you to check it out.

Have a super dooper crafty weekend.

Whats up with ANC

Hello crafters,

Hope you have been well.

These last few months have been supremely productive and busy at ANC. So let me bring you up to speed with the events and what’s brewing here for the holidays:

  1. I completed my 4th marathon this year at Sydney. It was the most gorgeous route and had so much fun with friends and family. Running is such an awesome way of calming down for me. I can totally listen to podcasts and run for hours at a stretch. Do you run/exercise/swim/bike to sort-of-meditate? Photo 18-9-17, 9 41 22 am
  2. I processed my first wholesale order for the holidays. It was so much joy creating those beautiful bags. I love the whole process of choosing the fabrics all the way to shipping the bags.
  3. I am now getting ready for the holiday market organized by Etsy here in Canberra. ANC is in production full swing and have purchased gorgeous fabrics for the holiday season. If you would like to order in bulk (>5 bags) contact me on anerdycrocheter@gmail.com and we can discuss more about custom made bags.IMG_3669.JPG
  4. The knitting project on my needles this month is this gorgeous lace scarf. I cannot keep my hands off of it. The yarn is Knitpicks Alpaca cloud in Sophia. It is super soft and I will keep you posted on its progress.Photo 24-9-17, 10 13 51 am

Get ready for loads of holiday songs, bags, trees, decorations, and clothes. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Work hard during the week and harder in the weekends.

Back to crafting.

Tote Bag Pattern

Hello beautiful people on the internet,

Have you always wanted to use your sewing machine more?

I have  heard this more than ever that I bought my sewing machine to do some patch up work but I haven’t used it once. Start with some small projects to get used to sewing and soon you will not be able to stay away from it.

I know that you are crafty and creative. Love amazing colors. This pattern doesn’t need you to have ninja skills of adding interfacing and lining. It works perfectly well if you are a beginner and is challenging enough to keep you interested.

Here is a super easy tote bag pattern. This is exactly how I make all my tote bags.

This downloadable pdf pattern has step by step instructions with pictures at each step. You can contact me at any time with questions and I will try my best to help you out.

Have a great crafty weekend.

New Year goals and trellis bags

Half way through 2016 I started setting up SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound). I set up my dream life, 5 year goals, annual, quarterly, monthly and daily goals. I have to say it has worked really well so far. It has given me the clarity I needed to see where my small teeny-tiny business is headed.  So for this new year, I have some ambitious goals that I plan to work towards each day both in my professional and personal lives. Do you set goals each year and has it worked for you?

Some of the incredible habits I have installed in this last year is journaling, daily planning, and  5 mins of french learning each day. I do not start my day without it and it definitely has helped me accomplish a lot during busy times and keep up with all the errands and activities.

To start of this new year on a productive note, I have these beauties available on the store. I am absolutely in love with Trellis patterns and spotlight has them in these bright and vivid colors. Check them out in my madeit and etsy stores now!!
