Knitted chevron blanket no. 5 – off-white, grey black and maize

Here I am working on my chevron again! Have I already told you how much I love this pattern a million times.

No wonder I’ve made five blankets from this pattern. I usually work this pattern in a gradient and a contrast color. I used the same technique this time except I used neutral colors but it looks so beautiful. Absolutely love the way it has turned out. It brings out the Black (I know right, you can use black in a blanket) so well. this is the first time for me using black in a blanket.

Materials:

Caron simply soft yarn in colors of off-white, grey heather, black and autumn maize.

Edging: I gave a special yet simple crochet edging with one round of double crochet and one round of single crochet in the back loops in off-white color.

Knitted chevron blanket No. 3

Hello fellow crafters,

Hope you had a great relaxing but productive long weekend. I have been trying to get my custom order sent out. This blanket was so much fun to make especially because the colors turned out to be very pretty. I used random stripe generator to create this stripe pattern. Have I already told you about how much I love this site by biscuits and jam?

The pattern for this pattern is really super-simple and super-quick to knit. It is a free pattern. You can access it here.

I have used this pattern twice before, in shades of pink and shades of yellow.

For the edging I just did one round of single crochet followed by scalloped edging.

Diagonal stripes baby blanket No. 2

Hello there,

This is the latest blanket I’ve completed. It is the same as one I’ve made in pink before.

I am in love with this pattern. It is soft and warm. And , it is a great travel project, just because it is garter stitch and you don’t need to look at it while knitting. The pattern incorporated a nice uniform edging to the blanket. So I didn’t do an additional edging.

I am trying this color combination of turquoise and green, for the first time. I think it turned out to be pretty good.

Materials:

Caron simply soft, blue mint, off-white, soft blue, and limelight.

Knitted stripe baby blanket no. 2

Hey there,

Here is a quick update on my latest custom order knitted strip baby blanket.

I have made this blanket in yellow and grey before. I tried a new color combination I’ve never used before. blues and red.

Here is the pattern link for this blanket. This really is a super easy baby blanket.  I used the random stripe generator for this as well. I think the colors worked out beautifully.

Diagonal stripes baby blanket

I have so many projects in queue, so many WIPs and it is getting really confusing which one to work on. But this beauty has knitted up really fast and is a really easy pattern.
I wanted something in stripes on which I can mindlessly knit (since we were going on a trip) and play with the colors. I generated the stripes using random stripe generator and worked out beautifully. This website is the most useful thing for me as I need some order in my stripes and cannot come up with the random stripes order myself. This gives a really good idea of what this order would look like and you can save it and keep it while you knit. I usually write/print it so I can strike it out as I am knitting it.

The pattern again is really simple without overwhelming the design. I made the pattern into a rectangle instead of a square and I also changed the ‘Yarn Over’s to a ‘Knit Front and Back (kfb)’ so I don’t have any holes.

So the increases are ‘K2 kfb knit till the end of the row’. Decreases are ‘K1 K2tog Kfb K2tog knit till the end of the row’.

Each color stripe is twelve rows or six garter stitch ridges.

Materials:

Caron simply soft, white, soft pink, Watermelon and Chartreuse (the green)

Knitting needles size 7

Finished dimensions: 27” X36”

Since the pattern gives a really nice edging I didn’t add edging to this one.

This is such a beautiful pattern to play around with colors. And if you are a passenger while driving, or at the movies, you can really knit this one without looking at it.
