New Year goals and trellis bags

Half way through 2016 I started setting up SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound). I set up my dream life, 5 year goals, annual, quarterly, monthly and daily goals. I have to say it has worked really well so far. It has given me the clarity I needed to see where my small teeny-tiny business is headed.  So for this new year, I have some ambitious goals that I plan to work towards each day both in my professional and personal lives. Do you set goals each year and has it worked for you?

Some of the incredible habits I have installed in this last year is journaling, daily planning, and  5 mins of french learning each day. I do not start my day without it and it definitely has helped me accomplish a lot during busy times and keep up with all the errands and activities.

To start of this new year on a productive note, I have these beauties available on the store. I am absolutely in love with Trellis patterns and spotlight has them in these bright and vivid colors. Check them out in my madeit and etsy stores now!!

Thanks giving and more bags!

There are so many things to be thankful for, including this opportunity for me to be able to make a difference, to create new beautiful things, to use my life to the fullest potential, and to be able to serve as many people as possible. (Yes, I have been reading too many entrepreneurial and self improvement books lately! ;)).

This Small Business Saturday, support handmade products and small businesses. Try giving some handmade items these holidays to your family.

I am in the process of stocking my store for loads and loads of tote bags. These handmade bags make great presents and can be used as grocery bags, knitting project bags, beach bags, and gym bags. Here are some of the latest creations. To view them all visit my online store at Etsy and Madeit!!

Moved to Australia!

Hello there beautiful people,

We have been planning this move from the States to Australia for about 6 months and it has finally happened. I am so excited to explore the yarn and colors here. I did come here from one winter to the next but that is the best season to wear all of knitted things, and, of course, I am really excited to be with my husband here.

The day I landed, I was jet-lagged and I dragged my husband out of the house early in the morning for a run and many days since, it has been so great. Bird watching and taking in the new culture.

The fun is now about to begin, I am going to start going to yarn shops here and get my store going again. Any Australian folks out there who can help me out with handmade goods selling website that are more popular than etsy? Also any preferred yarn brands you would recommend for the two categories: for indulgence or economical. Any input is appreciated.

During the long flight, I have been working on my gryffindor scarf. I will definitely post once it gets done. Here are some of the birds spotted during out runs and outing in the last week. Parrots and Parakeets flying around just like that in the cold. So beautiful to see them flying around free.

I never imagined that I would be coming to a third continent in the near future but here I am and loving every bit of it.

Hope to meet with some Australian knitters and crocheters soon..

Crochet Bold stripes blanket No. 3

I am absolutely in love with this pattern. This pattern is free. and is available by the super talented CypressTextiles. This blanket is a custom order where the customer chose specific colors for each stripe. I love the way it has turned out and love the color combination.

For this blanket, I used a single crochet foundation chain for the first time ever and LOVED it!! Here is the YouTube video that helped me through the foundation chain.
