Have you always wanted to use your sewing machine more?
I have heard this more than ever that I bought my sewing machine to do some patch up work but I haven’t used it once. Start with some small projects to get used to sewing and soon you will not be able to stay away from it.
I know that you are crafty and creative. Love amazing colors. This pattern doesn’t need you to have ninja skills of adding interfacing and lining. It works perfectly well if you are a beginner and is challenging enough to keep you interested.
Here is a super easy tote bag pattern. This is exactly how I make all my tote bags.
This downloadable pdf pattern has step by step instructions with pictures at each step. You can contact me at any time with questions and I will try my best to help you out.
You can get this pattern from my etsy and madeit stores. (Click on the images to link to the listing)
Thank you so much for checking it out. I am going for a 2 week vacation this coming week and will be back with amazing stories. Hope you have wonderful days in the meantime. I will catch you on the flip side.
This week has come with a lot of wonderful activities in the Nerdy House.
Please consider using reusable bags for your groceries. This New Year resolve to be ecofriendly. It is never a good idea to use a single time use plastic bag to carry your groceries from the car to you house. Use durable, reusable, pretty-looking bags. These are one time investments and can last a long time. Let the future generations learn from you to be kind to the environment. We can make a difference in our lifetime and help everyone around us.
These are the new bags available this week at the ANC Madeit and Etsy stores.
Yesterday the French capital, Paris, announced that they have had a spike in air pollution higher than any in the last 10 winters. This has led them to regulate traffic by banning half the number of cars on the roads. India’s capital city, Delhi, has a similar story to tell.
You can see the air quality index of the city you live in here. This just goes to say that pollution is on the rise and it will at some point have an effect on your health.
We have to be kinder towards our planet and take small teeny tiny steps towards a healthy and green environment. It is after all the only planet with chocolate, wine, beer, trees, dogs, cats, and a lot of other wonderful things. Try and bike/walk to work more often. Use public transport. Refrain from using plastic. Use reusable cloth bags to shop.
We can make it a movement. This doesn’t have to be boring. You can have awesome printed fabrics, convenience, durability, all wrapped up in one.
By using one reusable bag, you will not be using about 3 plastic bags, which is over 156 weekly bags in the year.
Have a beautiful weekend.
