Drawstring bags

I am introducing a new line of drawstring bags. These bags are super cute and convenient for all kinds of knitting projects.

I personally go and scour for fabrics that will look best on these cuties.

Knitted Chevron Miniblanket

This is one of the miniblankets I made in this new color combination. This reminds me of lemonade and summer.

If you follow me at all, you know I have used this pattern a number of times. I really love this easy pattern and have made it before in various colors. So here you go.

Pattern: Chevron baby blanket

Caron Simply soft white, lemonade, limelight, and Kelly Green.

US Size 7 circular knitting needle.

Finished dimensions: 16X19”

This blanket is now available on etsy.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Sunburst Hexagon Crochet Blanket No. 4

This past week I have been working on  this super colorful crochet blanket. It has 5 colors and joining in white.

After creating random squares on random granny square generator, I made all the rounds in three randomly chosen colors using this pattern. Finally, I joined them using continuous join as you go hexagon, the tutorial for this can be found here. I love continuous joining and this tutorial is really awesome. Saves a whole lot of time and ends to sew in.

Caron Simply soft yarn in the colors:

white, Harvest red, Lemonade, Blue Mint, Watermelon, and Limelight.

Finished dimensions: 24X28”.

I didn’t do any edging on this blanket. My husband convinced me that the staggered edge looks good. Now, I think so too.

This blanket is now available on etsy.

I am now working on a Fall themed blanket. Follow me on instagram  (@anerdycrocheter) to get updates on the WIPs and some tutorials coming soon.

Have a great weekend everybody.

Knitted stripes Baby blanket No. 3

Here is my latest knitted stripes baby blanket in gender neutral colors. I love these colors together with the mild green and the pop of purple.

I used the random stripe generator for this. I really like it as a tool to see how the colors go together. I frequently play around with it for color inspirations and to get a visual of the blanket.

Here is the link to the pattern. I have made two such blankets earlier in yellow and grey and blue and red. I do really enjoy this pattern and with the updates in it, it looks even better. However, blocking is essential for this blanket to really show the stitches.

Caron simply soft yarn in the colors White, Soft Green, Sage, and Grape.

Circular needles

Finished dimensions: 25X35”

I did not add a separate edging other than the 6 stitch garter as border.

This blanket is now available on etsy.

Share what you have been working on. Have an awesome week.

Crochet 3D squares Blanket

Here is what I have been working on for a long time. I have had this project in progress since last November. I know we all have projects snoozing around. But I usually have only one or two projects (I know I am kinda crazy like that). Unfinished projects drive me crazy and I have to get them done as soon as possible or if I don’t like it, it has to be frogged.

This one was awesome but I had quite a few colors to work with. So it took me a while to get the colors together and get a chart so I knew which one went where. I really like how it turned out. It was worth the wait. This blanket is for a dear friend and she got the yarn and colors and I have to say it was awesome. The yarn is 100% wool and the colors are really nice and go well together. Here is the link to the pattern. I really enjoyed working on this pattern (with this yarn, it was a really nice winter project). The blanket is soft and warm and thick.

Nature soft yarn in the following colors:

Blues: Blue Fog, Winter Blue, Nordic Blue

Charcoal Gray, Natural and Grecian Olive Green

Sunburst Gold, French Clay, Burnt Sienna, Brick Road

Finished dimensions: 25X32”

This blanket is now going home as a gift to her. Hope she likes it.
