Solid square blanket no. 5

Hello beautiful people,

I had a busy week and have been working on multiple projects the past couple weeks. A custom order for the pixel blanket that I last worked on came by and I couldn’t wait to get started on it. I kept everything aside to work on that. and it has come together beautifully. I really hope she likes it.

For this blanket I used three shades of blue, two shades of grey, and white. I am not a random color arrangement person so I used Word to come up with the placement of colors just like the last blanket and got to work. The pattern and joining technique (join as you go) for this blanket is the same as the last pixel blanket (Solid Squares No. 4).

Materials:

Caron simply soft acrylic yarn in the colors

Ocean, Blue Mint, Robin’s Egg, White, Grey heather and Charcoal heather.

This blanket is slightly bigger than the previous one.  28X34”

Solid squares Crochet Blanket No. 4

This time I wanted to make a pixelly blanket I as trying to look for good color layouts. Finally played around with Word little bit and used this color arrangement. I really like the way the colors have turned out.

I used a join as you go, as I have in my previous blanket and this one, only this time I used two rounds of the color.

Materials:

Caron Simply Soft yarn

Ocean, Blue Mint, Robin’s egg, Sunshine, Mango, and Pumpkin.

Finished Dimensions: 21 X 31”

Staggered Chevron Baby Blanket

Hello fellow crafters,

Here is my latest staggered chevron blanket. I absolutely love this free pattern I found on Ravelry. This is a new pattern and this is the first time I’m trying it and I already love it and I can see this being made like a billion times in the future.

This time I used a blue gradient and a contrast of yellow but you can easily just make it using a bunch of different combinations and stagger the chevrons as you want.

Materials:

Caron simply soft in the colors. White, Lemonade, Robin’s Egg, Blue Mint, Ocean.

Finished dimensions: 27”X 30”

Edging: Since these are baby boy colors the edging need to be less frilly so I did a simple double crochet and one round of reverse single crochet.

Crochet Cozy Stripes Blanket

Hope you are having a great New Year. This is my first blanket in 2015. Hope you enjoy it. This is a part of the beautiful Attic24 crochet CAL. This is such a wonderful pattern to work on.  You can work on so many colors for this.

Sunburst hexagon blanket

All of last week I have been working on this pretty, colorful and fun granny sunburst hexagon baby blanket.

This is so addictive and too much fun. I couldn’t put it down once I started making the circles. And you don’t have to do the flowers in gradients of colors you can do it using scrap yarn. There is so much room to play around with colors here. and they blend really well. I have used this pattern before as sunburst squares but sunburst hexagons are super duper fun. I even made halves to square off the edges.

Caron simply soft yarn –

pinks (fuchsia, watermelon, soft pink)

blues(ocean, blue mint, soft blue)

purples (passion, grape, orchid)

greens (dark sage, kelly green, limelight)

yellows (autumn red, mango, sunshine)

These little beauties were joined with white.
